I bought size 5 for my 5 year old. It fits perfectly on his waist and also on my 3 year old. (Children aged 3+5 wear size 5 in this photo). If they don't break when playing outdoors, they should be worn for a long time. Can't speak for huskies. my boys are small If you're buying it for backyard play (rather than beauty), you could probably go up a size. Very thin fabric - perfect as a mosquito repellent so I bought these. But with rough guys on the street, it might not last too long. One of the couples crotch was a little loose, but it was easily fixed.
