As someone said before, the end of the flashlight is a simple silicone plug that covers the USB ports (USB Micro & USB - A) and the power button. A flash is fine if you're on a boat that requires attention, but I think salt water can wreck the poor thing. It's nice like it's well built, but adding a screw cap on the sealed end would be perfect for salt. I bought it for the shed as we have a USB port on the solar panel controller now it gives us light and charges this little flashlight. works for me Indoor and in-car use is great, and the beam focusing feature is simple and reliable.
