Review on Electric Salt Pepper Grinder Set by Amber Chavez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The grinder is brittle, which can make coffee grinders unstable at best and unusable at worst.

Pros: The engine is powerful enough for what it is. When they work, they're great for finely chopping (up to 1/4 teaspoon) or for flavoring food at the table. The problem is that the sanding roller's tension is held in place by a narrow groove, a tiny C-ring, and a washer. If this C-ring slips, the entire shaft shifts. This is a design issue, not something that a replacement can fix. Is your coffee grinder tipping over or no longer standing? This suggests that you need to disassemble the grinder. 1) Unscrew the bottom grind adjustment nut 2) Remove 3) Remove the burr cone and burr disc and spring 4) Remove the top 5) Remove the battery 6) Pour out the remaining salt/pepper 7 ) Pull the square bar through the top (from the side of the battery pack) and insert the C-ring and washer into the groove. You may need needle nose pliers for this. Make sure the C-ring is secure in the groove on the shaft and the washer is down (toward the end of the thread). Spring, burrs (narrow end up), burr washer and adjusting nut. Tighten fully by hand, then loosen the adjusting nut 1-2 full turns. 10) Insert the threaded rod into the battery pack and align the housing so the tabs snap into place. 11) Attach the top cover by aligning the arrows. 12) Adjust the nut to your liking. I wouldn't give them to anyone who gets frustrated easily or who isn't mechanically inclined. They also don't do well in different loops.
