I use this to switch between my existing Windows 10 desktop and the new Mac M1 Mini. Basically works, but not without problems. Since the next option is about twice as expensive, I'll probably leave it and live with the problems. The first problem I found was the speakers buzzing when switching to the Windows side. This used to be my permanent computer and it never worked without a KVM switch. I tried many things but solved the problem after realizing that my sound card has an optical output in addition to the 3.5mm analog output I was using. I bought a DAC for about $15 and that fixed the problem. Another, more serious problem is that while I was using computer 2, the switch randomly switched back to computer 1 without warning. I set it up on a Windows PC. as Computer 1 and Mac as Computer 2. I almost turned the switch back on for that. I solved it by swapping the targets of the computers. Since I mainly work on a Mac now, I made it Computer 1 and haven't had any problems since. I assume it will happen again if I leave it on computer 2 again, but I can live with it for now. I almost sent the switch back because of this. Apart from these two issues, the switch works perfectly and I have to say that it is an elegant solution to share a monitor, keyboard and mouse between two computers.
