This lamp is made of durable aluminium. It attaches easily and securely to your desk, and the power cord is long enough for most applications. I like the lamp and the amount of light it gives off. The "temperature" of the light varies widely, and the lamp will maintain its position after installation. I only have two minor complaints: 1.) The switch is on the bottom "leg", near where the lamp attaches to your desk. I would prefer to install it on the top "leg" where the LEDs are. Why? Because this lamp is installed on my desk behind a widescreen monitor. As a result, I have to perform acrobatic maneuvers just to reach the switch. 2.) The lamp does not rotate on two hinges in all planes. It only rotates in one direction, which limits the various positioning options. These two minor flaws are really just subjective sophistry. The lamp is well made, if a bit pricey, but I would buy it again.
