NOT 100% biodegradable, NOT compostable
These are good scrubbers and will last for months [microwave (wet) for 2 minutes every other day to kill smelly bacteria] but when the coir starts to fall off I mean an unmentioned third web layer that attaches the fibers to the cellulosic layer. That third layer of fiber looks suspiciously synthetic, and if it is, it's not composted. I will throw worn out sponges in the trash, and the natural parts will decompose in a landfill. I am disappointed to discover that this company is doing "green washing".
