I'm a musician with rheumatoid arthritis. My fingers and hands swell, increasing the pain and difficulty moving. These gloves (they come in a pair) provided immediate compression that reduced both the existing swelling on my hands and the swelling I usually expect as the day turns into evening. Grip-enhancing dots on the palm offer more than just comfort. Simple tasks like turning a doorknob used to cause pain and inflammation in my hands due to the extra effort required by my mobile hands. The grip when wearing these gloves is just right. It helps me grab thimble sized objects, but they aren't so sticky that they attract every cat hair in the room! The reason I didn't give the gloves five stars is because I wore them after a three hour trial. , they stretched and no longer provided such compression. However, I hope that after a wash they will recover and retain their original size and shape.
