cables didn't come to me either. I found it too expensive for the "list" price (cables were probably included). For Revain's price with free shipping and no taxes for my state (California), I could justify the cost. I mainly use it to keep my batteries always charged. The transfer button (I had no trouble with it) is handy. While the transfer is slow (compared to my DSLR), I don't have to keep inserting and removing the SD card; making it less likely that I'll get a job from someone else. Its three segmented displays give you an idea of the battery charge level. When you press the transfer button, an indicator flashes to show it's ready to transfer pictures. It looks pretty good (silver over black) and runs stable on my desktop. Remember where the small transparent adapter that came with your camera is located. You need it to attach the camera to this device.
