Review on Tractive Waterproof GPS Dog Tracker: Location, Activity, Unlimited Range (White - Newest Model) by Amy Smith

DO NOT BUY! This ONLY works with a subscription - I knew that before I bought it. And they say free trial but couldn't get it to work so they paid for a subscription. I tried it for 3 days and the device NEVER got a signal, neither on the dog nor in my hand. I even drove 30 miles across town with the gauge and dash on; When I got home he said there was no story. Of course the cell phone signal is weak here, but I still have 1-2 bars on mostly 4G and I can constantly make and receive calls without any problems. After 3 days of trying I gave up. Revain accepted the return with no problems. The Tractive website (Austria) makes canceling and refunding subscriptions a nightmare. The website says in several places that you can get a refund within 14 days, but how? They won't let you delete your payment method and just say it will go away if you cancel your subscription for future payments. They dig very deep and have a link to request an RMA (which they believe is the only way to get a refund), but it asks for an email address and an 'order number'. But the order number (even what they show in their link where to find the order number) doesn't exist. I have account numbers, invoice numbers, transaction IDs, etc - nothing is accepted. They have NO phone number for support or even live chat. I filled out the form, but we'll see what happens. I keep good records and take screenshots throughout the process, so I made a request to PayPal to dispute my documentation. In terms of battery, they also fall far behind. I charged it to 100% for several hours on Tuesday morning. After lunch I then put it on my collar during the day and it went with me into the house and property (6 acres). The next day at 8am the device was dead and of course never updated or constantly showing network activity. Since it was no more than 18 hours and not in "Live" mode, it turns out to be much less than the declared "As a rule, the battery life of the Tractive GPS tracker is 2-5 days , with a charge time of up to 3 hours.".
