Try silicone frame for the first time. The reason I try this is because every single one of my cymbals is rattling. I usually use double sided tape or try plastic frames plus tape. I accidentally saw this frame and decided I had nothing to lose. It definitely doesn't rattle and the plate is nice and cuddly. After I put the screws in, I checked the edges and they kept a nice straight edge. I figured the torque from the screws would cause it to warp, but the frame kept the edges straight. The assembly instructions are on the bag and are very simple. The installation took about 5 minutes in total. Also, I've been through a car wash and haven't had any issues with excess water seeping out from behind the frame. It looks like the silicone material is firm enough that water doesn't get trapped underneath. Overall I think I found my solution and plan to buy 2 more for other cars.
