ATTENTION: The unit I received is clearly used (see photos posted including vintage label ©2013 UL). Not that "refurbished" is used, the unit I received is old enough that the white plastic inside the USB ports is starting to turn yellow. It has a few major scratches and signs of wear including bent connector pins on the back. And as soon as I turned on the light, I saw that it was covered in fingerprints, after which I threw it back in the box and washed my hands thoroughly. The fact that the label on the box said 8 sockets when I ordered the 6 socket box should have been a clue. When I first opened the box I thought it smelled like new plastic but as this thing is at least 5 years old I'm afraid I don't want to think about what the smell really was. Rough. The selling price suddenly makes sense. However, the device I received is a rip off even at retail. I could probably find a less shabby example at Goodwill for a Dollar. I will definitely be returning this!
