Sold as new but received unit is crappy old junk

ATTENTION: The unit I received is clearly used (see photos posted including vintage label ©2013 UL). Not that "refurbished" is used, the unit I received is old enough that the white plastic inside the USB ports is starting to turn yellow. It has a few major scratches and signs of wear including bent connector pins on the back. And as soon as I turned on the light, I saw that it was covered in fingerprints, after which I threw it back in the box and washed my hands thoroughly. The fact that the…

Good idea BUT it needs a simple change to be really great.

This surge protected wall tap is good but has the MAIN disadvantage that it is only held in place - in connection with the socket - by metal pins (which are inserted into the wall socket to make the electrical connection). There is only a small, short plastic tab to hold the unit flush with the exhaust port - it is designed to fit the internally threaded hole on the exhaust port that would otherwise accept the bezel mounting screw. This "protrusion" barely fits into the threaded hole and gives…

Could be great, need to fix assembly.

This may be a great product, but unfortunately there are better models. Firstly, as others have described, the single plastic peg that sits in the bottom of the top outlet is not enough to hold the entire unit in place and there is no screw mount for the exhaust panel. Instead, you must use the Velcro located over the top pins of the wall outlet on the panel to attach the unit to the wall. Also regarding these USB ports - most devices can charge above 5V at 2.4A on this unit (modern…

A really bad sign when the defaulting company expects complaints.

CyberPower CSP600WSU 1200W/125V Surge Protector, 6 Rotatable Outlets, 2 USB Charging Ports, Wall Mount Do not buy. Bought specifically to protect my Zeppelin Wireless. The device is out of order due to burned out equipment. When I contacted CyberPower about their promise to guarantee up to $75,000 on connected devices, their rep asked for proof of purchase. I provided everything and the agent repeated the request and threatened that if I didn't provide the information within 15 days, the claim…

You need a screw hole in the middle.

Would rate it 5⭐️ if it had a hole in the center to attach securely with a long screw to the female thread in the center of the wall outlet. The device uses only the bottom of the wall socket and therefore cannot satisfactorily support the weight of a large number of plugs. I had to use HVAC tape to secure the top of the unit to the wall - it moved a lot under the weight of the cables and could fall out of the socket. The tape makes the device look ugly, but it's now securely attached to the…

love hate c Socket strips and surge protection

With features, 6 sockets, 2 USB ports and surge protection, the thing looks great on paper. I have it under my computer desk, with my computer, two monitors, a table lamp. I took it for $11. Great offer. I have an iPhone connected to USB with a long cable. Everything works great. I have to charge my iPhone in another room, so I rip out the Lightning USB cable and the whole thing falls off the wall. Oops, my computer, my monitors are off. I turn it back on and thank god everything works! I…
