Will easily heat a finished 25' x 40' basement

If you have enough power, skip the 120v model and go for the 2000w 240v model. Installed the device yesterday. I had an issue with the wiring, but that is by design and has nothing to do with the actual device. Once I ran the 14AWG wiring from the panel to the space between the walls, the rest of the installation was easy. I attached it to the drywall with 3 snap screws and to keep the cable entry looking very neat I used a 1/2" threaded nipple and 1/2" coupler and a 3/4" hole drilled into the drywall. .Based on the geometry of the rear of the 120v model, 240v seemed to be a good fit. So glad I did. The feedback and methods on most of the other photos left a lot to be desired. But that's not my concern. Our basement is finished, but the previous owner did a poor job adding just the right amount of air ducting to keep us warm in the winter. Not wanting to rip through the drywall, I went with this $150 option. The basement usually averages around 58 degrees from December to February, so it's practically unusable for us and our 2 year old son. I started this device and after about two hours we were warmed up to 67 degrees. Keeping 65 now, I found the device lasted about 15 minutes on and 45 minutes off. Based on our energy use and cost, that's about $0.04 per hour. Probably around $30 a month, but that's only 3 months out of the year, and the family room in the basement is the nicest part of the house. Its worth it. There are no complaints about the device. Very easy to install, the wiring and safety circuits are designed by German engineers so you know it's good. Simple side on/off switch and top mounted thermostat knob. We're holding it at the 11 o'clock position and it seems to be keeping the room pretty stable at 65 degrees. Warm enough for us. It's too hot for a treadmill right now in my opinion, but I love the cold. Would highly recommend this heater to anyone and may purchase a second unit for a basement guest room just to improve comfort.
