Noisy heating: heating, cooling and air quality

Too soon after purchase to rate efficiency but connection was good and heat dissipation excellent. The temperature control is pretty basic, could be a little more meaningful. The only thing that let me down was the fan noise.

I like this new version

I have several previous generation models and I can tell you that this one is much better!. There is a line filter on the back with easy access from both sides and space for a screw on the front to prevent someone from accidentally lifting and pulling out the unit. I installed 3 at my parents house and everyone has noticed how quickly they heat up. Highly recommended!

Not as good as their other model

My first Steibel was model 074057 which I had to replace after 4 or 5 years because a faulty control knob was causing the heater to turn on randomly. I recently bought this model 236305 CK as a replacement as it had an on/off switch. I rated this 2 stars as there are stick adjustment issues. The heater doesn't turn on until I turn the knob almost all the way, and then it only stays on for 5 minutes and then turns off for a few more minutes. The previous model I had could have lasted much…

Very difficult installation

Connected as a 240 heater but wiring through the clamp (needs to be fed in) leaves a difficult installation problem as this cable clamp has to run in the wall to the power supply. Mixing it with a mounting plate means an accurate measurement and wires need to be connected before the wall is sealed again. would never do it again It is much easier to insert the heater into the wall and then seal it again. If you have rack space (I had), buy a unit that can be mounted behind the wall. Now I have a

Comparison CK Trend vs. Stiebel Eltron 074057

Before you buy, please note in the product description that ONLY trend models have a power switch to switch off devices completely. Other models have a "low" T-Stat setting but still turn on for freeze protection. I have the unit installed in an outdoor garden shed and do not need to maintain freeze protection, so not being able to bypass freeze protection was a disadvantage in my situation. Otherwise, side thermostat control models appear to be of better overall quality than top thermostat…

Will easily heat a finished 25' x 40' basement

If you have enough power, skip the 120v model and go for the 2000w 240v model. Installed the device yesterday. I had an issue with the wiring, but that is by design and has nothing to do with the actual device. Once I ran the 14AWG wiring from the panel to the space between the walls, the rest of the installation was easy. I attached it to the drywall with 3 snap screws and to keep the cable entry looking very neat I used a 1/2" threaded nipple and 1/2" coupler and a 3/4" hole drilled into the…
