Works with the ADT system

It took me some time to figure out how to get this to work with my ADT system which uses an Ademco Lynx Quick Connect touchpad. ADT, of course, never provided him with a programming manual. If you are attempting to use a device with this system, follow these steps: 1) Enter programming mode. This is often achieved by pressing: 6321 800 *562) Enter the zone number. Zones for wireless fobs start at 26 and end at 41. Each button on the fob gets a separate zone. If you already have 1 fob, most likely zones 26-29 are already occupied like in my case. So I started with Zone 30. Press: 30* (the asterisk takes you to the next menu) 3) Type "Zone Type". Some options are: 07 (audible alarm, ie panic), 20 (arm), 21 (arm), 22 (disarm), 23 (no alarm reaction). For my armrest button, I pressed 20*. 4) Enter "report code". I made sure it showed "10" (I just had to press 1). This is based on what I read on the tech forum. Press *.5) Enter "Input Type". Since this is a button type, it should be 5. Press 5*.6) Press the button on the fob you want to use. You have to hold it long enough for the indicator on the key fob to light up. Then you have to do it again. In fact, I found I had to press the button 4 times for my system to pick it up. Then press * in the alarm bar to go to the next menu. 7) From the login mode screen ("1A LC”) press: 0. This should take you to the 1 button on the key fob. You have to repeat for each button. After that, make sure you are in the Zones screen (you may have to press the * key multiple times to get there) and then press: 00. This will take you out of this level of programming but stay at the *56 level. . You must then press: *99 to exit programming mode completely. Now test your keys to make sure they work. If you need complete programming instructions for this particular model, it can be found here: [.] and possibly elsewhere.
