Easy setup for Honeywell panels

Works perfectly and is very easy to program. Most guides will show you how to program buttons zone by zone. There is also an "advanced programming mode" that allows you to configure all 4 buttons in one step in their respective zones. Very convenient. The only thing I had to think about is that you have to assign the remote to a user after programming the zones. You program zones with an engineer code, but configure user settings with a master master code. Nothing happens when you use the…

Works but doesn't hold up well

Worked great once I figured out how to program the ADT to recognize our two keyfobs; Due to the limited number of zones available, I have only programmed Away, Silence and Alarm functions on each remote. Three years later we find that the remote controls stop working from time to time; The problem is that with constant abusive handling of the keys (dropping, throwing, squeezing, shaking) the battery retaining tab will bend until it no longer makes reliable contact. Bending back works…

Great remote with two caveats

I bought my last remote in April 2019 and it worked great on a daily basis turning my home security system on and off. But I had to replace it in July 2021 because the graphics on the right side were completely erased and the left side was also about to disappear. While I understand this is an inexpensive consumable product, I still find it difficult to take my remote to my security provider to have them program a new remote. The second problem I've encountered with these remote controls is the

  • Poor set

Bought a pair of these after losing one of my old fobs. Pro -------* Compact (compared to old key fobs)* Easy to use (relatives/friends were confused which key to press in older versions)* Very flexible configuration (including key combinations)* Light gives visual indication transmissions * Encryption supported * The recessed keys don't seem to get accidentally pressed in my pocket as often. Con-------* The range seems to be a bit shorter than the old keychains. A little more about cheating…

Works with the ADT system

It took me some time to figure out how to get this to work with my ADT system which uses an Ademco Lynx Quick Connect touchpad. ADT, of course, never provided him with a programming manual. If you are attempting to use a device with this system, follow these steps: 1) Enter programming mode. This is often achieved by pressing: 6321 800 *562) Enter the zone number. Zones for wireless fobs start at 26 and end at 41. Each button on the fob gets a separate zone. If you already have 1 fob, most…

The key fob is good but programming is a bit difficult

After more than 20 tries I finally figured out how to set it up and some of the problems I encountered. The following worked for me, although it may not be a 100% correct explanation. **Please note that installer numbers and master numbers are given here as examples only.1. Before programming by pressing any button on the key fob. If it flashes red, it is a safety mode. Switch to default mode by simultaneously pressing Disable Alarm (B) + Stay (C) + Panic (D) until it flashes green. If the…
