Too bad I didn't find it years ago. I've screwed sheet metal screws into boots and shoes, but they didn't last long. I believe they will. I have them in boots, slippers and a pair of clogs. All of my bases are closed due to shoveling snow in the driveway, mail control, and walking through snow and ice when walking my dog. I took some screws to North Dakota while visiting my daughter for Christmas. I made ice skates for her and my brother-in-law. Perfect timing as there was freezing rain at Christmas which turned everything into an ice rink. They were quickly impressed the first time they went outside and weren't afraid of falling. I have given the remaining screws to my granddaughters so they can ice skate when they get home. Of course I immediately ordered more for myself. YakTrax can hide from shame.
