I'm 5ft 5in 190lbs, I bought the XL and it fits well. It would be ideal if the shirt wasn't attached to the shorts as the one piece jumpsuit shorts pull down. The loose piece of fabric on the shorts is actually very helpful for those of us with thick thighs as the shorts go up for extra fabric lowers to prevent chafing and hide the fact that your cheer eats shorts. I can see that someone who doesn't want extra coverage would prefer just shorts, but I was grateful for the extra fabric. It's not the most comfortable outfit as the shorts ride up but other than that it was very cute and I'll be wearing it again for a beach vacation this summer.
