Serious safety issues

Machine looks good. Installation in my apartment's laundry room was quick and easy, I followed the instructions, followed the checklist, the hot and cold water lines were tight and sealed, the drain hose was attached, the unit sat on the tile floor. The test run went well, everything seems fine. until I tried to do a test load. As soon as the machine began to fill with water, water from the back of the machine began to drip through the grilles and pool under the unit. The water pipes were tight and dry. Water dripped from the power cord. I stopped/parked the car. I wiped the water off with a towel and removed the service plate on the back to see what was going on. When filling the machine, water flows from the closed detergent drawer into the cylinder in a waterfall. If you look at the photos you can see two black wires in the background above the cylinder. Water splashed onto these wires from the detergent tray and ran straight inside the machine into the wire harness and pooled in the bottom cover. The wires are insulated/coated, but nothing separates/protects these wires from the incoming water. There is only a very small drained lip around the rim of the cylinder which seems to prevent just that, but it isn't enough (Water was splashed on the lip. Water was dripping from what looks like ground wires. (See wiring harness photos) This looks like a major safety issue and a major design flaw I can't imagine this washing machine working safely, the unit didn't short a fuse or blow it even grounded it properly (and plugged into a 3 pin ground socket) How is it acceptable for water to run down the wiring harness and pool in the bottom cover and drip onto the floor? An unacceptable risk in my opinion. The unit costs a $300 paperweight. *update*.Did a second pass, the leveling confirmed and the water pipes connected. Leveling confirmed. This time I only have di e water pipes turned on. , dripped from the power cord onto the floor and began to puddle. I have also double checked that there are no water leaks from the plumbing fittings (internal or external) or from any other area within the unit, which is a clear design flaw. Unbelievable.

Pros
