The HS110D is a great camera drone. The application is completely different from what I have for another drone (HS160). Thats much better. The application for HS110D is very clean and refined. Not to mention that there is a pretty accurate battery gauge in the app. If you fly during the day and can't see the drone's lights, you'll know when your battery is low. There's also a flip mode, which is pretty good for tricks, but since it's basically a drone with a camera, I don't see myself using this feature too often. Flip mode also serves a utilitarian purpose as well as just for fun. Because the drone doesn't tip over when the battery is low, you can just try to turn around if you want to know when the drone battery is low and the drone won't. The drone itself is quite large, especially when compared to some of the other Holy Stone drones I own. It has three speed settings, which is very handy because once you start flying the drone farther and farther away from you, it becomes difficult to determine the wind speed where the drone is. With multiple speed settings, you can easily increase your speed to three and fight the wind. The drone is powerful enough not to be blown away by the wind if it moves fast enough. The camera on this drone (720p) is also very cool. I love that it has the option to use the app and save videos and photos directly to your phone or save them to the included 4GB TF/microSD card. This is very useful as the drone app works over Wi-Fi. Because the Wi-Fi range is shorter than the transmitter range, you can fly further than Wi-Fi and still capture great video. The drone is also very stable. I really like how it hangs in place. This is very helpful as sometimes it can be difficult to take a photo of your family or anything else in front of the pass. I found that I could only lift the drone a few feet and it would stay in place. Then I just lower the remote while it takes the picture. The large indicator lights below are very helpful as they tell you many things. They tell you if the drone is connected to the transmitter, if the drone battery is low, if the drone is in headless mode, and if the drone is flying without any problems. The remote is amazing, one of the best drone remotes I have ever used. The small LED screen on the bottom with indicator lights is so handy that it shows the status of your drone. For example, it tells you what speed you are traveling at, whether you are in headless mode, whether you are in flip mode, whether a drone is connected. The controls and the remote control itself are very ergonomic, which is very important for flying the drone. You don't want to worry about arm pain when you should be paying attention to a drone! Simply put, the remote control is amazing. It's a very responsive drone and overall it's really great. Would definitely recommend to a friend, especially for the price.
