We were looking for something to boost the Wi-Fi signal upstairs. After a long search I decided on this device. It was SO easy to set up (after going through the WPS setup instructions). It installed in minutes and then moved upstairs. We connected Echo, Playstation and a second network for all our mobile phones (4). They all work much more efficiently. I installed this WiFi extender with WPS Quick Pairing which worked great with my 7 year old Belkin N600 router. I then moved this repeater towards the dead zone in my house until the signal strength LED changed from blue to red. I moved the antennas until the signal strength indicator turned blue again. After less than an hour of testing I am quite happy with this Wi-Fi booster. The screenshot shows "before" and "after". Dots 1, 2, and 3 (blue) represent the signal strength of my original network. Let me start by telling you that while I was on the hunt for one I didn't know anything about this particular item beforehand. Unfortunately this is not one of them. The installation was a bit of a circus, but I managed it in the end. Important to know: Use the current router's password to log into the extended network.
