These Versa watch straps are certainly a good all rounder for the price but as with most all round brands there is a slight 'notch' or 'ledge' " insert into the part that holds the excess strap after the buckle to keep the excess strap from hanging out and free to move. The Fitbit strap had a ridge that fitted into the holes in the strap to keep it secure. These watch bands do not have the safety factor that prevents the band holders from slipping off the excess band. UPDATE: I purchased these straps in June 2020 and my first complaint was about the "protrusion" that holds the excess strap in place. My apologies - I didn't realize I had to flip the strip to find out where it was! This was for ALL four strips that were in the pack! If anything on the packaging suggests that this is a unique property of all other generics, that would help. Or maybe if I looked a little more? If I hadn't been plagued by numerous emails asking me to change or remove my review and offering me $50 Revain gift cards (which are sent out after I change my review ), rather than just flipping the ribbon bar, I could have been a little more inclined to up my rating sooner. As for discoloration complaints, I've had a bit of that. I often wear a red band and it has darkened around the edges making it look dirty. I tried a quick wipe with a disinfectant wipe but it made no difference. I'll definitely try something different, but I change them so often I still haven't stopped cleaning them obsessively.
