I wasn't sure about this socket when I ordered it but it was a surprise purchase. It is very durable yet lightweight. I have no problem recommending it as it even fits in my Acer Predator Helios 300 which is a beast for a 15.6 inch laptop. It's light enough to fit in my travel luggage and durable enough, trust my $2000 laptop. If you need a stand for your laptop, this is a great stand. The only limitation I see is that laptops up to 17" are listed, but I wouldn't recommend larger than 15.6" due to the width of most 16-17" laptops.
