This was a gift for my son-in-law last Christmas, recommended by my daughter who - a hardworking and kind woman - noticed his interest in them a few months earlier. After they opened on Christmas morning we later watered them down with some 17 year old Double Wood from Balvenie. I admit almost any can of Balvenies Double Wood would have been a thrill. On the other hand, a well-made whiskey glass underlines all the virtues of a good whiskey. These glasses are comfortable to hold and the weight of the lens at the base is particularly attractive. The long chimney concentrates the nose of a good whiskey just the way you want it. These glasses add a delightful tactile dimension to any other senses that can be used to enjoy a truly fine whiskey.
