Review on πŸ§₯ Rothco Travel Vest - Uncle Milty Edition by Scott Tompkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Most durable and affordable, with real pockets for photographers

Tried another vest which remains nameless, returned due to a bad zipper. This one looks very durable and has large pockets. One zipped in the back that holds my graphite tripod, two in the front panels hold my Nikon 70-200 lens. I haven't filled the front pockets yet, but have 2 extra batteries and room for a memory card, GPS, compass, whatever. It also distributes the weight better than a backpack and on our recent hikes in Death Valley I wore a hydration pack underneath. In short, it's exactly what I was hoping for and so far the quality has held up. I will leave some space in case my experience changes. Addendum: I've been on several trips including a safari in South Africa and not only has it held up, I can carry almost anything I need in this vest. I added some velcro to keep the inner pockets closed when carrying a larger lens like the Nikon 80-200mm inside. Overall I think this is by far the best vest for the money.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
