i use it for my laptop. Plenty of space for laptop and mouse as well as pens. The plastic edge keeps the laptop from slipping, holds the pen, etc. The soft plastic wrist rest is perfect when I'm using a mouse. It fits perfectly on my couch/couch. The legs fit between the pads and the edge of the arm, so it's very secure. Also works well while standing. This is exactly what I was looking for. I had knee surgery and needed a tray that can hold my laptop on my knee while working from home. Great purchase, very satisfied!
