I am a robot. I've had robots since the first Roomba Red. Since then I've had many brands that I've been very happy with including Shark, Ecovacs and of course Roomba. This one is a little different. I was interested in him because he seemed to have smarter skills when it came to room allocation and restricted area setup. Not only does it not work as I had hoped, it is problematic, and other attributes of its operation bother me as well. It's rare that I really don't get involved with a product, so I try to be as direct and honest as possible. Unpacking: no problem, easy unpacking. Installation: I had no problems connecting the robot to the application. . It seemed to arrive mostly charged. The app told me there was a firmware update for the robot, but no matter what I did it wouldn't work. Finally I gave up and went to bed. The next day I tried again and found that the robot had somehow drained the battery. I let it charge for a few hours and tried again. This time the software update has started. It wasn't the new product experience I was expecting from a new robot and I've never had anything like it with previous robot vacuums. First Use: When you first start it wants to map your home. I was in! My house is constantly changing: chairs move, boxes come in from Revain and then disappear, the coffee table moves a bit, luggage moves, so I've tried to be as conservative as possible and move things up/down the could have disappeared. . During the discovery process, he completely missed a room. I live in a fairly small attic apartment, so most robots clean the entire room and have battery power left. I couldn't find a way to "explore this area" by pointing to a spot on the map, and I haven't bothered to delete my work and start over yet. The most important part is that you do it forever, every time, and that's where I'm least happy with this robot compared to others. Most of my floor is made of wood. This is a polished smooth classic nail. Now and then the robot trembles! He's bouncing in the air like he's been stung by a bee. The only thing I can guess is that sometimes he thinks he's running into a ladder and trying not to fall. That's my best guess. Falls in things. Difficult. Stronger than any of my other robots. This is especially true when something has moved a little. The bin is many times smaller than the bins on my other robots and needs to be emptied more frequently, and the emptying experience is worse - the filter doesn't have a mesh over it so lint goes right between each fold. Filter. They will get dirty as you drain if you clean the filter properly. You actually have to remove the filter for the trash to be empty. This is poorly thought out. I simply cannot recommend this robot given other stats and excellent performance, especially odd behavior, difficult setup and repair during training, and poor daily draining and cleaning. Sorry, that's not me, that's you.
