This shoulder pad with rails and rail mount is perfect for any gear you want to carry on your shoulder. You can choose if you want the camera to be flush with your shoulder by removing the rail lock, or if you prefer the camera closer to your head you can just leave the rail lock on and position it either up or down. This makes it ideal for quick adjustments when shooting without tools. Overall it exceeded my expectations. The lining should be comfortable. If you're buying this you might want to consider counterweights so the weight is evenly distributed both front and rear.
