Worked great for 9 months. I got this because I had a lot of noise through my Audio Technica player. After some troubleshooting, I realized that this was my powerline network. After trying other "Filters" and devices, nothing happened. However, this absolutely 100% filtered out the noise generated by my mains. That's why I gave it two stars instead of one, it does what it says and does it well. The downside is that it only lasted about 9 months. Came home today and fixed a bit. All the proper lights were on, but there was no power in the outlets. If you read the reviews, a small percentage points to exactly this problem. Works great for a few months, then dies. Since I only paid $30 for it I don't think it's worth filing a warranty claim, I'll probably just order an ethernet cable and eventually connect the network to the power line to get rid of the noise. Before you order these, though, ask yourself if you're ready to own an extension cord that will last you for months and then one day run out after work and all you have to do is watch TV or listen to music. . and everything associated with this expansion will be completely dead. You'll then spend 30 grueling minutes trying to figure out what's going on. Enough people have left bad reviews here to suggest this is more than a remote possibility, so be careful.
