This material does not wash dishes. So yes, I made a bad investment and bought this in bulk. I hate running out of dish soap, so I have some great eco-friendly soaps. Ouch. After the first boot, it felt like I forgot to press start on the dishwasher the night before. In my house, we usually wash the dishes before we "wash" them. The second time I dumped them but they were all dried out with "not clean". So I bought a super chemical called Jet Dry. It didn't even help! This is how my new life as a hand washer began. Then my husband bought the Cascade. We apply half the "environmentally friendly gel” and half the cascade. Half works 100% of the time. If I had a photo of the glass he didn't wash I would post it, but I don't. Imagine that you pour half a liter of cream into a glass. Now take it out, wash once with water and let it air dry. So it is good. Don't take this thing even if you want to save the planet. You end up having to spend three times as much water, get more soap, use more soap, and quit your job to stay home washing dishes.
