Review on Water Shoe for Men by Merrell: Hydrotrekker by Jeremy Rodriguez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Cozy? Yes. supportive? Yes. persistent? No.

As can be seen in the photo, the shoe protectors were completely destroyed and unusable after only three trips. The shoes were extremely comfortable and seemed to offer enough cushioning for many hours, but they weren't made out of durable and quality materials. I would recommend these shoes to people who will only use them for short trips in the water and not for longer hikes that combine water and land. I found the overall design of the shoe to be flawless as the treads were very grippy when still on the shoe and the lacing system wrapped the shoe around the foot very well. If Merrell could make a second version of this shoe with a more durable outsole and better materials, I would buy it.

Pros
  • 100% fabric or textile
Cons
  • packaging is ugly
