These pads really are over the top for anything you will ever need. I had to back out the adjustment screw twice before deciding to tighten it, I'll just lubricate the chuck. No you shouldn't, but in my situation the adjuster moves to the point where they are too tight and start to ride, causing pulsation and loss of power. The pads are great, I hate GM's design for the 11" automatic brake drum adjustment system.
