Let there be light in the electrics

After ordering the wrong ceiling fan bulbs three times in a row, I decided that ordering adapters should be easier than teaching my brain how to do it . think. I was right! It has made my life so much easier - I now only have to buy one type of bulb for almost every light fixture in my house which makes it easy to have extras on hand. They fit securely into ceiling fan sockets and are as easy to change as light bulbs in traditional sockets (where these adapters are not needed). They don't make any extraneous noise - my bed is right under the ceiling fan and as my room is very quiet when I go to bed every noise is easy to hear. (I hear a clock ticking about 10 feet from my bed.) Each of the adapters work as expected, and I haven't noticed any increased heat around these adapters (compared to not using these adapters). Since I'm not mechanical by nature, I'll leave the technical discussion to any reviewer who knows what they're talking about. (I don't even know enough to pretend I know anything!) The only problem I can find with them? They add extra height to your bulbs. So if your ceiling fan has spheres or lampshades that go around or above the bulbs, this is important to note. Mine has shades, but since the fan is so tall it doesn't matter if the bulbs stick out a little bit above the top of the shades - even my 6'9" son can't see the extra height. Love the bright light, which is now taking over my room and am pleased that I have a wider choice of bulbs than I used to.Candelabra base bulbs burn out quickly, are not as bright and are more expensive.Right now I would still save money by going with candelabra bulbs The price of these adapters is amazing! I paid just over $1 for the adapter including shipping. Swing! Even with spending a little more on these adapters I still ended up cheaper than buying candelabra bulbs. When the cost over splitting the time I end up saving money. I like it! I've spent some time trying to come up with a reason why I don't like these bulbs, but can't think of anything. It's a simple gadget, i hat makes life better - and I couldn't be happier. Took a photo so you can see the extra height doesn't really affect what you can see when mounted in a ceiling fan. (This was the last photo - please ignore the dust!) Hopefully you now have enough information to decide if it's right for you. These are great adapters and I'm glad I bought them.
