Review on 🌑️ Digital Candy Thermometer - Taylor 9839-15: Adjustable Head for Precise Temperature Measurement by Michele Pearson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

A few nice features but cumbersome/inconvenient

Simple and I love the large digital tilt head - once you position it the way you want it's easy to see. However, it would help if the tilt function had a ratchet that provides positive clicks to keep it in place. In addition, the auto-off function works too quickly for me - it takes time for the contents to reach a certain temperature. I know there is a downside to being able to turn it off, but that would help. My biggest problem with this and other similar thermometers is that the probe is too long; I have never seen a turkey, roast, brisket or pan that requires a probe longer than 6-7 inches. The clamp holding it to the pallet sets the sensor at an acute angle to the center of the pallet; A more vertical position, parallel to the side of the pan, would make it easier to stir the contents of the pan.
