I was scared before buying this product as many of the comments claim that it is of poor quality and has broken or scratched the dashboard. ok let me clear things up for you if you're still thinking. - Will this scratch my dashboard: No, and you don't need to sand anything before installation, the product has clean cuts and fits without any problem. Just make sure you insert the front first, then slowly slide forward so the rear hooks engage the grille. No scratches, nothing, you just need some common sense with more brains than physical strength ;) - this is really bad quality: I've tried many phone holders for my JK, nothing can hold a phone in place on a JK Wrangler, it unless it is made for it. it's a hell of a bumpy ride. Rugged Ridge is a company that has a solid reputation for the accessories they make for Jeeps. After all, the item is plastic, so use common sense again. Leaving plastic in the sun for a long time will weaken it. So if you don't choose a metal phone holder, this is your best choice. It looks like good quality plastic, the company has a good reputation and hey, it's made specifically for your car. What if it breaks after a while? Well you don't have to get the whole set new, the ball is universal and you can put any other holder on it that fits the universal ball or just use the sturdy tab again as they only offer part of the phone holder at a much lower price. as an accessory.
