+ Makes ice cleaner than the ball shape I have. + Cubes last a long time - at least for a full drink. - It is a bit difficult to release the cubes from the mold. I run water over them to thaw them out a bit. Once the first few dice have been ejected, it's easier to remove them. The lid is made of hard plastic and snaps onto soft silicone. That's fine, but don't count on the water not spilling as it goes to the freezer. I used filtered and unfiltered water - slight difference in transparency. I'm putting this in a freezer (-1°F) - will have to try a regular freezer to see if it freezes slower and results in cleaner ice.
