Young Dog Man fans will love

This was another great addition to our growing collection of Dog Man. The Dog Man series by Dev Pilka was the first book my oldest son (now 7 years old) started reading alone. Then he introduced her to his younger brother (age 5) who also loves the series. These models only increased their interest in a series of characters based purely on reading. Three characters included: Dog Man, Petey and "Cheeseman Philly". Despite being paper, they stick together surprisingly well and the colors and patterns mimic the book illustrations perfectly. The construction of these figures is quite simple, as all the numbers together form your character. If you get confused or make a mistake, it's very easy to fix and includes image guidelines. The hardest part is putting the hands together, but the Cubles brand has a folded paper key that does a good job of holding each piece together. Despite the lack of glue or scissors, the figure is able to move and is structurally very solid. In the event of an error, additional "keys" were also inserted. If your kids are under 8 years old, you need to help them build their figures. It's a lot of fun to work together, though, and the figures take shape easily when carefully folded along the guides. I would definitely recommend them as a gift, stocking filler or motivational boost for your kids. Since we're doing distance learning this year, I've included them as "prizes" for hard work at the end of the week. It's a fun way to encourage your youngest to read and then decorate or play along with the well-known Dev Pilka series.
