Great solution for managing multiple PCs

At home, my computer time is split 50/50 between my desktop gaming rig and my laptop. I've been looking for an affordable, modern (read: non-VGA) solution for legacy KVM switches, but nothing supports HDMI audio/video outside the triple-digit price range. I found a new monitor with multiple HDMI ports and a 3.5mm audio out to route all my audio and video, but I still needed a way to have a wireless keyboard, mouse, printer and external one Share hard drive between computers. This USB switch was perfect for this purpose! I thought there might be some issues with the wireless mouse/keyboard button or some inconvenience of using the switch every time I want to switch computers, but to be honest it turned out to be a lot easier to do yourself getting used to it than I expected. that the USB input/output ports are on both sides of the device, which means that some cables have to protrude on the surface of my desk. If the device were a bit wider and all the USB ports were on the same side, this would be an absolutely perfect solution. However, no manufacturer seems to have found this out, so this article is perfect for my price range.
