BEWARE OF HIGH PERFORMANCE PUMP PROBLEMS
I immediately fitted this brand new pump to my new engine. When I first started it, it ripped off the oil filter gasket and spilled oil everywhere. After reading online I found that this is a fairly common problem with these high volume pumps. Very disappointed in Melling for not solving this problem! Now I need to remove the oil pan from my new engine and replace the oil pump! Of course I will not buy Melling high-voltage pumps again!
