Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works great once installed

I bought this for my 2013 Rhino and it works great once installed. There's no more steering and I can steer the car with one hand over any terrain without pressing down on the steering wheel or worrying about my thumb getting blown off. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because there are installation issues that aren't addressed in the instructions that make installation a lot harder than it should be. I removed the original shaft and shipped the new shaft and motor back to Rhino in about 45 minutes. But adjusting everything so that the steering shaft does not hit the brake light switch took a lot of time and caused me a lot of problems. The brake light switch bracket will need to be bent down and away from the steering shaft to loosen it, but you will need to adjust the spring tension on the switch for it to work. You cannot start your Rhino without the switch. I've adjusted mine so many times that the wires came out of the switch and the ignition fuse blew 4 times. To finally get everything working, I had to grind the bolt head off the steering shaft sleeve, bend the brake light switch bracket, adjust the brake light switch spring, and then finally clean it all up. What makes this so tedious is that the instructions don't mention anything about it, nor do you have to turn the straightener upside down and tuck the wiring harness under the dash for it to click again. It could have been so easy if the mount had been made better. Just a few small changes and none of these problems would even exist. The color of the switchable 12v wire in the manual is also wrong, not just on my 2013 but on all the models I've read online. I connected 12V to the headlight switch because it's easier to get to. The brown wire is the correct wire. In any case, this setup works great and I'm very happy with it now, but the setup turned out to be more difficult than it should be due to the overall design and poorly documented setup instructions.
