Review on iPhone Compatible/Replacement Charging Speaker πŸ”Œ Dock: Philips Fidelio DS3000 Docking Station by Leslie Ojoh

small, beautifully finished, sounds great

This unit is smaller than I expected but sounds fantastic for its size. With no sound or EQ adjustments, I was able to listen to bass-heavy electronic music in the shower. The music was playing a few feet away from me, on the other side of the shower door. So it was able to reproduce an undistorted sound at this volume, which is exactly what I was hoping for. It was small enough to fit on a small bathroom shelf. The moment I connected my iPhone to it, it prompted me to download the Philips app. I did this and it worked fine. I don't know what it's supposed to do - I see some weather information on it, as well as music controls - but there's no need to launch this app when you dock your iPhone/iPod. The normal music app works fine. Also, the small 30-pin dock connector is on a tension hinge, so I think it can work with devices of different thicknesses. It also worked without having to remove the bumper from my iPhone, which is nice. Bonus! There is an AUX cable. Fake! This only works when there is nothing on the dock! Strange. Apart from this quirk, this is a good product.
