I love them so much! I was skeptical because it looks like something you can buy in a store for a dollar, but it had a cord to plug in and was said to play music continuously. I figured if anything I could just return it. It's a good size and heavy (make sure little kids can't reach!) - you can fit 3 AA batteries, but why would you? I think if you want to put it somewhere outside it's useful (or if you don't want the cord to be visible). I just plug it in. It plays all the popular Christmas carols and the snow keeps moving until you turn it off.
