I have a home recording studio that needed an update so I had a brilliant idea when I saw the TABRM086. When reading scripts, I find using the Surface RT to be a lot easier than trying to read from a regular monitor, and I couldn't find an easy way to keep it on par. Of course I can hold the Surface in my hand, but that just doesn't work for long scenarios. I needed something to hold my tablet to myself! The TABRM086 couldn't be more perfect as a tablet holder for my particular situation. Setup only took a few minutes. The only catch was that I had to adjust the width of the clamp. Unless your mounting area is particularly thick, make sure you have a Phillips screwdriver like I do! Putting it all together, it really couldn't be much easier: choose the right size brackets on the spring-loaded tablet holder [4 short ones if you use Surface RT like me], press the bracket, adjust your arm, fasten the mount, insert your tablet. The arm is just the right length for my position. I was concerned that the clip might slide off during recording, but it held up for several sessions and didn't move a bit! Now playing with dumb voices is much more convenient! So, to recap, if you need a clip-on tablet mount, this is a great choice!
