Going on a trip and yes you need to keep the kids entertained. We used to have the problem that two children with two cell phones disturbed the sound. So, with this mount, we now have a total screen of 12.9 inches! So far it is fairly stable in the air, and removing the panel from the front row is not difficult. The only downside is that the screws that attach it to the headrest bars are ridiculously thin, I think it's an M4 screw. I wish they had used stronger screws.

Bought for long journeys. It stays installed in the car all the time, but we only let the kids watch the video when we're in the car for a few hours. Works great with the iPad and both rear passengers can see it perfectly when it slides out in the middle. Be sure to get a headphone splitter so you don't have to listen to the program you're watching in the back seat. Four stars because the little feet that hold the tablet to the mount vibrate when not in use and can easily get lost.

Full disclosure: I'm an engineer and I get very annoyed with poorly designed things/devices. This tablet holder is so well designed that it was a real pleasure to install and use. The build is so incredibly intuitive and the design so versatile, I could see this tablet in just about any size you could use. It has so many settings that it works great. Perfect! this is awesome especially for the price! We found a way to keep an iPad in the car and it really hurt more than anything. I was worried it wouldn't fit on our headrests because they're big, but it fits really well. We have a GMC Acadia 2012 and an iPad and it works! It will be a lifesaver for long car journeys.
