We wanted to buy a new mattress. But becoming more comfortable as a 20-year-old costs thousands of dollars. Ours was still better than 80% of those in the mattress store. However, we have stayed in various hotels and guesthouses with more comfortable beds than ours. At least two of them used feather toppers. It was one of the deepest duvets, and partitions were necessary. I also appreciate the down top layer versus the feather bottom layer. We were not disappointed with this choice. It added the feeling of "sleeping on a cloud". And it's not as hot as the previous memory foam topper. It will not add 5 inches to the height of your mattress. It can be fully fluffed up and not covered with sheets. This is good for us, otherwise our bed would be too high to climb on. We hit again when changing the sheets and this requires vigorous shaking (easier to hit with two people). It was the real deal, cheaper and a lot easier than replacing a mattress.
