Works great if you know how to use it properly. I've used this to apply a clear layer of epoxy to glasses. When I started I was a complete novice and I learned a few things that can help people like me: 1) Put both bottles in the sink and fill them with warm water. Let stand about 10 minutes. I've learned the hard way that if the resin is too cold it won't mix properly with the hardener and the result is a gooey mess. After numerous videos on You Tube I found this tip and it worked great! Heating also helps get rid of most blisters. 2) The 1:1 ratio is crucial. I accidentally added a little more hardener one day (because it pours faster) and didn't think it would make much of a difference. It does. The result has never lost that sticky feel. 3) Blend for at least a minute or two. It seems like it takes forever like your mixing, but I found that the longer I mixed, the more consistent my results were when I mixed 15 cups of resin for two weeks. I ruined a few cups due to insufficient mixing. The results were sticky no matter how long it dried. 4) If you make glassware, a Turner motorized cuptisserie mug is a MUST. The resin is very runny and doesn't like to stay in place. Applying resin while turning was the only option.
