Let's face it, changing or topping up gear oil in a manual or other transmission is no easy task, but life just got a little easier with this fairly inexpensive little pump. Simply screw the pump directly onto the gear oil of your choice and start pumping. Not only can you fill your gearboxes with the lubricant of your choice, but you can also save a lot of money by doing it yourself. The local lubricators where I live charge about $10 a liter for a transmission oil change, and that's for a general purpose grease. And if your transmission, differential or transfer case doesn't have a drain plug and used grease needs to be pumped out, the costs add up very quickly. Oh yeah, did I mention how you can get that usually messy job done without spilling a drop of that foul-smelling lube? Aside from all the positive things I have mentioned about this STA LUBE FLUID OIL PUMP, there is one small thing that will improve it and that is a longer hose. I bought several feet of clear polyethylene tubing at a local hardware store. Now I can pump lube without getting under the car.
