They do their job very well but my box lid isn't very heavy (5lbs)
As others have said the instructions are a bit odd. The first one took me 30 minutes to install, reinstall, install, reinstall, install. The second lasted less than 5 minutes. Just follow the pictures. The text is confusing. Measure the required distance from the borders. Attach the panels yourself. Then connect the lever and you're done! I wish they were black or bronze, I hate the chrome finish, they look so cheap and I'm afraid spray painting could cause the bearings to not perform well if paint seeps in. .
