This tape measure does what it does best. With the auto-lock feature, you simply press and hold the button, pull out the band for as long as needed, then release. When you're done, just hold it down again to put it away. Yes, it has some weight, but that's what I like best. The product not only looks durable but also feels durable. I finally have a thing that can be extended about 8 feet without resting on a surface before it breaks. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but I personally have no grudges against this project. In any case, I don't do big home projects. All in all, this measure is amazing and gives me a good impression of the quality of Black and Deckers products.
