My hair is very thick and goes below my waist. It was a struggle to find something to hold on to as the hair ties start to pull and hurt. All the other clips fall off as soon as I put them on because they aren't big enough to wrap enough of my hair. That changed the rules of the game! You slip, but usually only after a while, and that's inevitable. Durable plastic, I found out when I accidentally threw mine against the wall. They're comfortable (seriously, I sleep with mine sometimes) and great value for money. Literally couldn't be happier.
